Mark of Healing · Halfling lineages · Medical care
House Jorasco provides professional healing. Its Mark of Healing makes inherited magic part of a trained medical service, supported by staff, buildings, supplies, and administrative work. A healer’s skill matters; so do the resources available when a patient arrives.
Jorasco’s long development made care an important commercial institution. Extraordinary healing remains scarce and expensive, even in a city filled with small useful magic. A clinic offering routine treatment and a hospital with greater resources serve different needs. Neither can make every condition simple to treat.
Clinicians, supplies, and waiting rooms shape everyday care.
Coverage and urgent care
In 1250, Jorasco sells subscription tiers that include alerts and rapid response. A resident with dependable coverage can reach help differently from someone who has to find a local healer, congregation, or hospital while already in distress. The practical difference can be time, distance, or having someone prepared to respond.
Brelish emergency stabilization applies when a patient arrives, regardless of their ability to pay. The bill can follow afterward as civil debt. Immediate treatment and freedom from future financial strain are separate protections.
Independent healers and religious clinics also provide care. Their hours, supplies, and reach are limited. A neighbor who knows where help is available can be as useful as a familiar institutional sign, especially when transport or a failed service check complicates the trip.
Care inside a contract
A Jorasco plan sits within the larger Mana Standard economy of accounts and authorizations. Employer ties can make a healthcare decision part of a much larger choice about work and household security. Better-paid residents have more room to change arrangements or absorb an unexpected charge.
The institution contains people with their own ethics. A healer can take a patient’s needs seriously while working under rules they did not write. The strain between that care and the business surrounding it is part of everyday life in Sharn. Care, Coin, and a Place to Sleep brings those practical arrangements together.

Modern House identity
By 1250, Jorasco's everyday commercial emblem is a teal griffon with amber accents, extending a broad, sheltering wing. Open, rounded lettering makes the name readable on clinic signs, medical packaging, clinician badges, and response services. Its advertising line is Within reach.
The emblem retains the griffon of the ancestral arms while presenting care as an approachable service. The promise appears across a business whose actual response and access depend on coverage, facilities, and staff.
