A warforged repairer offers a replacement hand for its owner to examine.
The Unclaimed is a small, primarily warforged-run protection network in Sharn. Its name is a refusal of ownership: a maker's stamp, employer's contract, old military unit, or repair invoice does not turn a person into someone's equipment. It welcomes allies of other ancestries without surrendering the principle that warforged should speak for themselves.
The Treaty of Thronehold already recognizes warforged freedom. Members want that freedom to survive an encounter with a foreman, a landlord, or a clerk who treats a crafted body as company property.
Work that makes freedom practical
The network finds safe work and lodging, accompanies people through disputed contracts, and helps recover tools or personal belongings withheld by an employer. Trusted repairers explain the work they intend to do and ask permission before doing it. A person who needs repairs should not have to sign away control of their body to receive them.
Its closest circle takes particular care of isolated warforged with few contacts or little experience of city life. A patient escort through a service office can matter as much as a hidden room. Members also preserve accounts of the Last War and the long years since, making room for people whose memories and loyalties do not fit a single veterans' story.
Why Stewards matter
The Unclaimed insists on a public distinction between free warforged and Steward labor. A familiar silhouette does not erase the difference. Members challenge language that treats both as interchangeable assets, and investigate accusations that employers or officials have abused that confusion.
They do not all agree with the Voice. Some fear that dramatic comparisons will make the public think every warforged is a prisoner or a danger. Others think silence lets the Steward program weaken the standing of every person with a constructed body. The network can help the same witness as a Voice cell while refusing its slogans or its proposed attack.
Protection before spectacle
The Unclaimed favors discreet escorts, temporary shelter, repair access, recovered records, and getting an endangered person out of a company's reach. It will confront an attempted seizure, but does not treat every House worker as an enemy. A conscientious Cannith repairer can be a useful ally; a warforged foreman can still exploit other workers.
Some members want public legal victories. Others trust a quiet exit more than a court process that leaves the person exposed while their case is heard. That disagreement often decides whether they ask the Landing Compact for a hearing advocate or for somewhere to stay.
Finding an ally
The Unclaimed is known through introductions at workshops, veterans' tables, and neighborhood repair circles. It has no public roster of the people it shelters. Someone seeking help is asked what they need and who may safely be contacted, rather than required to tell their whole history in a room full of strangers.
